New Resources on Dr Frost Learning!
Happy Halloween! The Resource Team have been working really hard to pull together some brand new resources over the past few months and we are so excited to finally share them with you. So, in the spirit of Halloween, we’re giving you the biggest treat by sharing 34 new resource sets! Each of these sets has:
- a slide deck for projection in lessons, and
- accompanying exercises as PDFs.
These resources have been designed and planned in order that they support a whole spectrum of attainment. We’ve still got that signature Dr Frost challenge, but we’ve added in a whole host of explanations and scaffolds that should support every learner to develop their understanding to this point.
We truly believe that all students can succeed, given the right tools - so we hope this helps you in supporting them!
The focus over these three months has primarily been on Algebra, with each Resource Creator taking charge of a subsection of topics. Each of them has had to become obsessed with the nuances of the topics to help them make the best lessons they can to support all learners. You’ll also notice, in a Dr Frost first, that there are a whole bunch of algebra tiles being used within the slides! These and other representations and manipulatives really help students to deepen their understanding of the structure of mathematics - we’re eager for you to see the impact they can have for yourselves.
It is really important to us that these lessons are used as effectively as possible. To that end, we have included
pedagogical notes throughout the slide decks:
- Our slides have commonly used slide types to help with routines in the classroom, and so a reminder of these is included in each lesson:
- Each lesson begins with teacher slides giving an overview of the prerequisite knowledge, representations used and future links.
- Comprehensive teacher notes are included in the ‘Notes section’ of the slides; outlining the the intended use of each slide and any pedagogical choices that were made.
For discussions, teachers are given suggested prompts and key points to be made.
Multiple-choice questions include explanations of the correct answers and misconceptions being shown by the distractors.
Without further ado... here are the new lesson sets!
Please do let us know what you think of them by emailing us, or sending us a tweet

We’ll be publishing more as they are ready from now on - so keep an eye on twitter and future newsletters for updates.
